NYC-based startup that designed Sprout as a lightweight, approachable developer platform rather than a heavy industrial workhorse. At just 22.7 kg and 107 cm, Sprout is the lightest and shortest humanoid in the landscape - roughly half the weight of 1X Neo and shorter than Unitree G1. The design prioritizes safe human proximity: soft exterior panels, backdrivable motors with conservative torque limits, minimized pinch points, and a swappable battery. A character-like expressive face (LED array + motorized eyebrows) and LEGO-compatible cosmetic customization signal a consumer/education play. The full SDK with Python/C++ bindings, ROS 2 integration, MCP server for LLM-based agents, and IsaacSim/Lab compatibility makes it genuinely developer-ready. Whole-body VR teleoperation via Meta Quest enables DAgger-style data collection. No proprietary VLA - instead exposes modular services for external models.
