Adafruit's BNO085 breakout combines a CEVA Hillcrest BNO085 sensor-fusion device with a voltage regulator, logic-level shifting, STEMMA QT connectors, reference crystal, and breakout PCB. The module reports three-axis acceleration, angular velocity, and magnetic field data, plus fused orientation and motion-classification outputs. Manufacturer specifications are for the Adafruit breakout unless explicitly identified as chip-level information.

Technical extensions
The BNO085 provides calibrated, uncalibrated, and raw accelerometer/gyroscope/magnetometer reports; quaternion absolute orientation; gravity and linear-acceleration vectors; and stability, tap, step, shake, significant-motion, and activity-classification reports. The breakout accepts 3–5 VDC input and provides a 3.3 V regulator output rated up to 100 mA. Interfaces/modes documented by Adafruit include I2C, SPI, UART, and UART-RVC. Adafruit warns of I2C interoperability issues with some ESP32/ESP32-S3 and NXP i.MX RT1011 configurations and I2C multiplexers; UART-RVC is an alternative. The guide separately gives the BNO085 chip package as 5.2 × 3.8 mm; that chip dimension is not used as the breakout size.
