Smells from the Monastery of Panfi
QbitAI is public.
Why did so many people run before Anthropic went on the market?
Recently, there have been three connections between the team of Claude Code, a Crown product.

Claude Code's product manager just said goodbye to Anthropic yesterday, and today he is launching OpenAI.
Greg Brockman, President of OpenAI, welcomes the head of Crown Products at AnthropicCat WuJoin us.
And the sister. At one point, they were in direct control of the core product line.。

The day before, she also sent a lengthy message saying goodbye:
Recalling the initial experience of being polished by Claude Code, I thank colleagues and users and congratulate the team on continuing to refine the good products.
It's been a while since we've gotten to the next stop, and the family has officially declared her dead.
All right, all right, it's the old couple's dog.
This time, not only has OpenAI proved that scaling is still working, but it's also the talk of the town with one billion users.
From thanksgiving to the old host to waiting for a new colleague, there are less than 27 hours in the middle.
But the word comes back, Cat Wu is the name, you know?
Yes, last year, she jumped to the Cursor with Claude Code's father, Boris Cherny, and spent two weeks at the speed of light turning back to the Anthropic.
A family of fire jumpers
Cat Wu's resume is quite interesting.
After both writing the code and being an investor, he finally got out of the game and set a developer's product on fire.
She earned her undergraduate degree in computer science from Princeton University and a bachelor's degree in engineering.
Earlier in his career, he worked as an engineer at Scale AI and later joined the company that developed the data compilation tool Dagster, where he developed the Dagster Cloud.
She later crossed the investment floor and became a partner at Index Ventures, focusing on enterprise software, developer tools and AI platforms.

But even as an investor, she didn't throw away the craft of programming.
She also writes her own script, automates the startup dynamics on X, and explores potential for open source projects.
In August 2024, Cat joined Anthropic, initially not in charge of Claude Code, but as a product manager for the Research PM team.
The team's job is to connect model research with real customer needs.
Before long, a new tool was sent to her.
In the fall of that year, Claude Code began to be used within Anthropic.
Cat first uses it to deal with problems in its work, such as building applications that analyze user feedback and running model evaluation.
Using it, she began to make it difficult for Claude Code to even help him build a reinforcement learning environment in order to better understand model training.
This experience is one she has always remembered for leaving her job.
At the time, she directed for tens of hours, without writing a line of code herself, and finally the whole process was running smoothly.
So this internal tool, directly polished the Cat circle.
Cat said in a farewell message that she had joined the Claude Code team.

After that, she and her father, Claude Code.Boris ChernyIt's a very important partner.
Boris promotes technology, while Cat is responsible for promoting products.
In February 2025, Claude Code released a preview of the research, leaving the company.
After the launch, Claude Code quickly exploded the developer circle, and the wind was blowing, pushing OpenAI's Codex once on the track.
But I had no idea that the family had joined OpenAI, the deadly enemy.
Cursor: I've seen this episode.
But this isn't Cat Wu's first time out of Anthropic either.
The victim, Cursor, said: "I really watched this episode!!!
The last time Cat Wu left, he ran with General Boris Cherny, another member of Claude Code.

Last July, Cursor introduced two new co-workers, products and technology, with a total of 10 employees.
It was thought that the next key partner would be the big man, and the result was that Cursor's job was not hot, the two of them flashed back, back and forth for two weeks....

Even Co-Founder and CEO of Cursor, Michael Truell, was interviewed by the hosts for his over-crowding:
How did the two new recruits leave so quickly?
At the time, Truell's response was quite polite.
He praised both Cat and Boris for their excellence, explaining that Claude Code was their own product, and that they both had a lot to do with it, so they decided to stay with Anthropic.
Although people didn't stay, the Cursor's style still exists.
In February of this year, Boris participated in the Lenny Jones Podcast podcast to talk about this short jump, Boris said:
He admired the team at Cursor and loved their products. But after a really long time, he found that he missed the mission of Anthropic, especially the importance of AI security.
What is the meaning of this word?
Admiring the Cursor team, liking the Cursor products, but finding myself a true love of Anthropic.
In the end, the two briefly changed environments for two weeks before returning to work on Claude Code.
More than a year later, Cat announced his resignation again, this time without Boris.
OpenAI, which has been the subject of speculative product experiences, is also getting strong support, and the wallet is being emptied by the Codex...
One More Thing
Today, more than one Cat has been traded.
Anthropic's first head of growth marketingAustin LauOpenAI was soon followed by the official announcement.
I've even tested two guys who ate:
Anthropic wins coffee drinks, but OpenAI's snacks are better to eat.
It's all about making products, doing marketing, all of it.
